First Days Of Summer
Written by Ingrid Pollet

Clouds in the sky. Short burst of rain. After months of blue sky and cold nights, the summer is announcing itself. The temperature is raising a little bit more every day, the mosquitoes are more active and people are less inclined to work. December is the official beginning of the summer and children are on holidays. Summer holidays at Christmas time; that's a different concept. Most of the big companies will also close their doors at that time of the year.

After weeks of driving through Namibia, my vision had become bicolor: the rich red of the earth and the yellow of the grass. But now Namibia changes in front of our eyes, the yellow fades away into green as small patches of grass sprout everywhere, very small yet so apparent against the red earth. The landscape is slowly transforming into colours of life.
